Laminated flooring is manufactured using high density fiberboard with a decorative film underneath a clear protective layer. It typically comes in 8mm and 12mm thick. The decorative film comes in many designs that mimic real solid timber wood minus the expensive cost of timber wood.

 

One of the major advantage of laminated flooring compared to tiles and engineered/solid wood is Design. Laminated flooring can come in many kinds of design while retaining the feel of wood.
